Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers, La Union
Located at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue, Quezon Avenue and Diversion Road leading to Poro Point, the structure is a reminder of the noble deeds of the Filipino and US soldiers who died in the name of freedom. Some of whom died without being identified and never returned to their families. Their names could never be determined but their bravery will never be forgotten.
Hanging Bridge, La Union
Bacsil Ridge, La Union
Located nine (9) kilometers northeast of San Fernando town proper through the San Fernando-Bagulin road, Bacsil Ridge was last bastion of the retreating Japanese Imperial Army in the province. Later, the ridge constituted the East Flank of the 21st Infantry of the United States Armed Forces in the Philippines-Northern Luzon during the Liberation.
